Photography has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. What started as a hobby quickly became my passion and my passion became my profession when I founded JJ Photography in 1999.

Since then I have continued to challenge myself and perfect my work. I put my heart and soul into capturing every photograph therefore each image I create is a reflection of myself.

Although I do different types of photography, I love weddings and here is why:

To me, weddings are an incredibly beautiful time in someones life. So much time and effort is put into having everything just right for that once-in-a-lifetime event. I feel very privileged to be welcomed as a part of such a joyous occasion.

Photographing weddings has enabled me to meet some of my closest friends: Many brides and grooms have gone from being prospects to clients to great friends. I consider myself lucky to have come into contact with some really awesome people.

Because I love people and I love my work, I tend to keep my clients: Several families I still do work for. I photograph their children, family affairs such as parties, holidays and so on...

Documenting Peoples Lives:

It is really cool for me to have a career that enables me to document peoples lives from the beginning of their marriage to the birth of their first child to key events in their lives. Though the years, I help document their growth together by keeping their memories alive though photographs that will last a lifetime.

My Unique Style Of Photography:

The style of photography that I shoot can be described as traditional with a photojournalistic touch. I am constantly working to capture the unique personality of the people I photograph, like you. Every wedding has its true beauty and this needs to be captured in the photographs.

People Often Call Me Invisible:

In doing all of this I manage to stay invisible. I have people always telling me that they cant believe how good I am at being invisible. Its important to me that I am not the main focus at the wedding. The main focus should be on the bride and groom, and this is my goal.

I am a very hard worker and at the same time very easy to talk to and deal with overall. I am also great at helping ease nervous people so the portraits look great.

Although many photographers will try and take control of a wedding (to choreograph various shots), this can be stressing so I dont typically do it. But, at the same time I have good control when the situation calls for it. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding by letting your friends and family do what they do naturally.

As a wedding photographer I spend most of my time with the bride so its very important that we click together. You want to be able to get along well with the person that will be at your side on your very special, personal day.
